Today we going to talk about height. Now we all know that height is genetic. 90% of the height depends on genetics but there are some chances that you may increase your height. Besides, genetics it also depends on nutrition, physical activity, lifestyle.
Can height be increased after 18 or 21 ?
No, in 99% cases height can not be increased after 21. But there is 1% case in which height can be increased. There are many people who had done that in past. Anthony Davis had grown so much taller than their average family growth, he had broken their own genetic limits.
Which hormone is responsible for growth ?
The hormone known as human growth hormone is responsible for the overall development of our bones, tendons, ligaments, muscle size.
Diet for height
You have to include some food which is very important for your growth and which includes the following nutrients:
Protein
It is very important for not only height but for our immunity, retaining muscle mass, abnormal growth. In our Indian diet usually we take less protein sources. You can take protein from chicken, eggs, fish, cheese, tofu, soya-bean, lentils etc.
Vitamin
In all of the vitamins, vitamin D is very important for your bones to be strong.
Mineral
For the better absorption of vitamin D in our body, we need calcium. If you have less calcium, no matter how much vitamin D you have, it is of no use. Besides calcium, you must have magnesium and iron.

You must stay away from the packaged food like candy, chocolate, soft-drinks, alcohol, smoking, drugs.

You must do pull ups on a daily basis because it stretches your spinal cord due to gravity.

You can do this because it opens up the muscles which are tight due to bad life-style.
Stretching and sprinting
You can sprint on machine or in open ground. When it comes to height stretching is the most important activity that you have to do. You can not miss your stretching. Stretch your back, hamstrings etc.

Overhead exercises

Over-head exercises can do nothing with your height. It is a myth that if you do over-head exercise then your spinal cord gets compressed and it stunts your height. It is all wrong. If you are giving proper nutrition to your body, you will grow. Basically, our body can never lift such amount of weight that stunts our growth. It is like lifting the weight which is double or triple of your own weight.
